AdoptionWorks Waiting Family Spotlight: Casey & Tierney

Meet Casey, Tierney, Nana (English Setter), and Gomez (Chihuahua). The W’s will celebrate their 12th year of marriage this December and met in 7th grade history class. Sparks flew in college and the rest is history! Casey and Tierney excitedly await parenthood. They feel honored to grow their family through adoption, and understand that adoption is a lifelong process that forever connects two families. Casey and Tierney chose to work with AdoptionWorks because of the intentional services and support they offer birth parents and adoptive families. They are grateful to be working with a faith-based agency and have felt lovingly supported whether through prayer, training, or quarterly check-ins.

Fun fact about the W Family – they lived in Washington, D.C.!  When Casey and Tierney were first dating, Casey worked in D.C.  Tierney and Casey were able to spend time together in the city, making lots of memories, and even taking a trip on a double-decker bus to New York for Casey’s birthday. In 2016, they moved to Washington, D.C. for a period of time.  This move was the turning point for stirring their hearts towards adoption and will always be considered an altar moment.  They will carry a special place in their hearts for Washington, D.C. – a city full of historical greats, beautiful architecture, and lots of precious moments.

Please pray for Casey and Tierney’s little one and their birth parents.  Please pray that their child’s birth parents would be safe, protected, and well-loved, and supported.  Please pray for the health and safety of their little baby – a child that is loved and prayed for by many (including several little anxious cousins ☺️).  Please pray that Casey and Tierney would be strong during the adoptive wait and have faith in God’s perfect timing and perfect plan.  Please pray for the AdoptionWorks staff as well as they facilitate services for birth parents and adoptive families for the remainder of this year.
